Zepto ads are paid placements inside the Zepto quick commerce app, run on Zepto's in-house ad platform, Jarvis, launched in November 2024. Sponsored products appear in search and category results and are billed per click; home-screen and category banners are billed per thousand impressions. Ads serve only in cities where the dark store has stock.
Zepto sells two kinds of placement. Sponsored products sit in search results and category pages and are bought per click on keywords or categories, the same auction logic as Blinkit's Product Booster. Banners on the home screen and inside categories are sold on impressions with minimum commitments that agencies put at ₹1 lakh and above, so they are a brand-budget purchase rather than a seller one.
Access is the first hurdle. Many brands get onto Jarvis through Zepto's sales contact or a partner agency rather than a public sign-up, so 'zepto ads login' searches often end at a contact form. Once inside, the campaign screens look like any retail media console: products, targeting, bid, daily budget, city selection.
City selection is the part that matters most. Zepto serves an ad only where the dark store holds the product, and every click on an out-of-stock city is wasted, so campaigns are geo-restricted to cities with stock cover.
Worked example: a brand tests sponsored products at ₹2,000 a day. At an average ₹6 CPC that is about 330 clicks a day; if 7% convert at a ₹180 basket, the day produces 23 orders and ₹4,150 of attributed sales, a ROAS of about 2. Agencies suggest test budgets of ₹1,500 to ₹3,000 a day and brand-defence campaigns on your own name at ₹200 to ₹400 a day.
CPC tables published by agencies show branded snack keywords at ₹3 to ₹5 and generic ones at ₹8 to ₹14, with other categories higher. These are agency figures, not a Zepto rate card, and ROAS targets quoted for the platform run 4 to 6x for snacks and 5 to 8x for health products.
Peak windows reported by agencies are 9 to 11 in the morning and 6 to 9 in the evening; budgets that run out before the evening peak miss the best conversion hours.

Sponsored products are billed per click; agency tables show ₹3 to ₹14 in snacks depending on whether the keyword is branded. Homepage banners are quoted at ₹40 to ₹90 CPM with a ₹1 lakh minimum. Zepto publishes no rate card.
Jarvis is Zepto's ad platform, but access for many brands comes through Zepto's sales team or a partner agency rather than a public sign-up page.
Ads serve only where the dark store holds stock. Restrict campaigns to cities with cover and pause them when a city goes out of stock.
