PLA stands for Product Listing Ads, Flipkart's cost-per-click ad format that shows your product listing in search results, browse pages, the home page and product pages, marked as sponsored. Every seller with an active listing can run one from Flipkart Ads Manager, either with a CPC bid or a Smart ROI target.
You pick FSNs, set a daily budget and choose a campaign type. A CPC campaign takes a bid per click that you set and adjust; a Smart ROI campaign takes an ROI target and lets Flipkart's system set bids to chase it. Either way, Flipkart runs an auction each time a shopper's search or browse page has a sponsored slot, and charges you only when the shopper clicks.
Worked example: a bid of ₹6 on a ₹799 home decor FSN wins 500 clicks in a week for ₹3,000. If 25 of those clicks become orders, that is ₹19,975 of revenue and an ROI of 6.7 (ACoS 15%). Whether that is profitable depends on the margin, which is why the bid should come from the margin rather than from the suggested bid alone.
Blooprint's glossary on blooprint.in has the plain definition of PLA.
The controls that matter inside Flipkart Ads Manager:
Ads Manager offers seller-level, campaign, FSN, placement, keyword and search term reports, downloadable as spreadsheets. The search term report shows which shopper queries triggered your ads and is where negative keywords come from. The placement report shows which of the six slots earns its multiplier. The FSN report tells you which product inside a multi-FSN campaign is carrying the ROI.
Flipkart's reports are per campaign and per download, so comparing placement ROI across 40 campaigns means stitching files together every week.
Work out the CPC you can afford on a PLA campaign from price, margin and conversion rate.

Learn more →PLA stands for Product Listing Ads. They are Flipkart's sponsored product ads, billed per click, that show your listing in search, browse, home page and product page slots.
PLA promotes a single product listing in search and browse slots and is billed per click. PCA, Product Contextual Ads, is a banner format with your creative and a landing page, shown on contextual placements.
Use CPC for new listings and for full control of bids. Use Smart ROI once the FSN has steady daily orders and you know the ROI target that clears your break-even.
It depends on category and competition. One agency reports ₹5 to ₹10 for fashion and ₹15 to ₹30 for mobiles. Your own placement report is the only reliable figure.
Yes. Shopsy shares Flipkart's seller backend and Ads Manager, so PLA campaigns for Shopsy listings are created the same way.
