The highest CPC bid that still meets a target ROI on Flipkart is selling price × conversion rate ÷ target ROI. Enter those three numbers for an FSN and this calculator returns the maximum bid in rupees for a PLA placement. It is the Flipkart version of the Amazon bid formula, written in ROI rather than ACoS.
Conversion rate is orders divided by clicks for the FSN or campaign, from the campaign or FSN report. Placement conversion rates differ, so if you have the placement performance report, calculate per placement.
Worked example: a ₹999 FSN converts 8% of ad clicks, so each click is worth ₹79.92 of expected revenue. With a target ROI of 5, you can spend one fifth of that on the click: 79.92 ÷ 5 = ₹15.98. Bid up to ₹16 and the campaign lands at ROI 5, which is the same as a 20% ACoS.
For a ₹299 product at the same conversion rate the ceiling drops to ₹4.78, which explains why low-priced items struggle in paid placements.
Flipkart PLA campaigns take a separate bid for each of six placements: home page, search page, search page top slot, browse page, browse page top slot and product page. Flipkart derives the campaign's CPC from those placement bids. Conversion rates differ by placement, search top slot usually converts better than browse, so the same target ROI gives a different maximum per placement.
Run the calculator once per placement with that placement's conversion rate, and you have a bid sheet rather than a single number. That is also the shape of BlooprintAI's PLA template, which takes one bid per placement per campaign.
Break-even ROI is price ÷ profit before ads. Target above it.
From the FSN report and, if available, the placement performance report.
Placements bidding above their maximum are cut first; placements under it with good conversion get raised.
Change bids by 20 to 30% at a time and re-check after a week; Flipkart's auction and your conversion rate both move.
With hundreds of PLA campaigns and six placements each, this is thousands of bids. BlooprintAI fetches the current placement bids for all campaigns, lets you edit them in a table or a template, and pushes the update in one run with a log, so the calculator's answer can actually reach the account.
Flipkart reports ROI, not ACoS. Get ROI as a multiple and the equivalent ACoS so both marketplaces read the same.

Learn more →Maximum CPC bid = selling price × conversion rate ÷ target ROI. A ₹999 product at 8% conversion with a target ROI of 5 gives 999 × 0.08 ÷ 5 = ₹15.98.
No. In a Smart ROI campaign you set a target ROI and Flipkart manages the bids. The calculator is for CPC campaigns where you set placement bids yourself.
The FSN's ad conversion rate (orders ÷ clicks) from the campaign or FSN report, ideally per placement if you have the placement performance report.
Same logic, different metric. Amazon multiplies by target ACoS; Flipkart divides by target ROI. A target ROI of 5 equals a 20% target ACoS, and both give the same bid.
Because the maximum is a ceiling from your margin, not a competitive bid. If the calculated bid is below what the auction needs, either the conversion rate has to rise (listing, price) or the product does not suit that placement.
