How Myntra ads work

A seller opens the Ads section of the Partner Portal, creates a release order to load ad money, then builds a PLA campaign: pick styles, choose automatic targeting, keyword targeting or the newer product targeting, set a CPC bid and a daily budget. The ad appears as a normal product tile with a small tag on search results, category listings and product pages, and the seller pays each time it is tapped.

The release order is what makes Myntra different from Amazon or Flipkart. Instead of a wallet that bills as you go, you commit a fixed amount up front, reported as ₹10,000 minimum for up to 90 days, and campaigns draw from it. When the RO is exhausted, ads stop until a new one is raised. New sellers may also receive PLA credits from the Growth Enablement Charge paid at onboarding.

What Myntra ads cost

Worked example: a fashion seller raises a ₹20,000 RO and runs PLA at an average ₹12 CPC. That buys about 1,670 clicks. If 3% convert at a ₹1,200 average order, the RO produces 50 orders and ₹60,000 of attributed sales, a ROAS of 3. Fashion returns of 25% to 40% then cut the net figure, which Myntra's dashboard does not show.

Agencies quote PLA CPCs of ₹6 to ₹35, a minimum bid of Re 1, list banners at about ₹150 CPM, and suggest ₹15,000 to ₹30,000 a month to start. Time-based bidding lets you raise bids 10% to 15% in the 7 to 11 pm window when fashion shoppers browse most. None of these are Myntra rate-card figures.

Ad invoices carry 18% GST, claimable as input credit.

Running Myntra ads well

  • Size the RO to the period, not the month; an exhausted RO in a sale week is lost revenue.
  • New style IDs show zero impressions at first; give them a week before judging.
  • Compare platform ROAS with ROAS net of returns before deciding a campaign is profitable.
  • Prepare EORS eight weeks ahead: credits, RO, bids up for the evening window.
  • Keep keyword and automatic campaigns separate so the search terms report tells you what to move.
