Flipkart brand ads are display and banner placements that promote a brand rather than a single product listing. They range from self-serve Product Contextual Ads (PCA), banners and video bought on impressions in Ads Manager, to homepage takeovers, category banners and sale-event sponsorships sold as packages by Flipkart's brand solutions team. Sellers and agencies also call this family PBA, or brand display.
There are two routes. The self-serve route is PCA in Flipkart Ads Manager: you upload banner or video creative, choose placements and audiences, and pay per thousand impressions. Creative goes through Flipkart's approval, and the ad links to a collection of your products or a brand page. The managed route is Flipkart's brand solutions: homepage and category takeovers, display on and off the app, and sponsorships around Big Billion Days and other sales, sold as packages priced in lakhs rather than hundreds, and measured on reach and brand metrics.
Worked example on PCA: a brand runs a browse-page banner at a ₹150 CPM with a ₹30,000 budget, buying 2,00,000 impressions. At a 0.5% click rate that is 1,000 clicks; at a 4% conversion rate, 40 orders of a ₹999 product, ₹39,960 of direct revenue, ROI 1.3. On ROI alone it looks poor; its job is reach, so judge it with the lift in branded searches and in PLA sales on the same products during the campaign.
Blooprint's glossary on blooprint.in defines PCA; this page covers the wider brand-ad family and how to decide whether it is worth buying.
| PLA | Brand ads (PCA and managed) | |
|---|---|---|
| Promotes | One listing (FSN) | A brand or collection |
| Billing | Per click | Per 1,000 impressions or package |
| Creative | Listing image, automatic | Custom banner or video, approved by Flipkart |
| Measured on | ROI | Reach, clicks, assisted sales |
| Starting spend | Hundreds of ₹ a day | PCA: thousands; managed: lakhs |

Learn more →Flipkart brand ads are display formats that promote a brand or collection rather than one listing: self-serve PCA banners and video, and managed homepage, category and sale-event placements from Flipkart's brand solutions team.
Sellers and agencies use PBA for Flipkart's brand advertising formats, the banner and display family around PCA and brand solutions. It is billed on impressions or as a package, not per click like PLA.
PCA is bought per thousand impressions in Ads Manager with budgets from a few thousand rupees. Managed homepage and sale-event packages are quoted by Flipkart's brand team and run into lakhs. GST at 18% applies.
PCA is the self-serve part of the brand-ad family. Managed placements such as homepage takeovers are bought separately through Flipkart's brand solutions team.
On reach, click rate and the lift in branded searches and PLA sales while they run, not on direct ROI alone. Their job is to put the brand in front of shoppers who were not searching for it.
