Flipkart brand ads are the formats that promote a brand rather than a single listing: self-serve Product Contextual Ads (PCA) banners and video, and the packaged brand solutions such as category banners, homepage placements and event sponsorships that Flipkart sells to larger advertisers. This page sorts out which is which, who is eligible, how each is billed, and when a seller running PLA should add any of them.
Search for Flipkart brand ads and you meet three different products under one name. Product Contextual Ads are the self-serve display format inside the Ads panel: a banner or video that appears on search, browse and product pages, billed per thousand impressions. Brand solutions are the inventory Flipkart's sales team sells as packages: homepage takeovers, category banners, sponsorship of Big Billion Days and similar events. And Flipkart's consumer TV and digital campaigns are Flipkart advertising itself, which is what most of the search results are about and not something a seller buys.
Blooprint's PLA vs PCA guide covers the difference between listing ads and contextual ads; this page is about the brand layer above PLA and the decision to spend on it.
| Format | Who sees the option | Billing | Creative |
|---|---|---|---|
| PLA | Every active seller with eligible FSNs | Per click, CPC or Smart ROI | None; the listing is the ad |
| PCA banner | Sellers meeting Flipkart's criteria; brand-registered and larger accounts first | Per thousand impressions | Static banner to Flipkart's specs |
| PCA video | Same as PCA banner | Per thousand impressions | Short video to spec |
| Brand solutions | Brands working with Flipkart's ad sales team | Package or fixed fee | Custom, built with Flipkart |
If the PCA option is missing from your Ads panel, the account is not yet eligible; there is no form to request it. Brand solutions are reached through Flipkart's ads sales contacts, typically for brands with a marketing budget in lakhs per event rather than thousands per day.
PLA works at the moment a shopper is choosing between listings: the query is specific, the click is close to the purchase, and ROI is measurable per FSN. Brand formats work one step earlier: they put a name in front of shoppers who are browsing a category or have not decided on a brand. Flipkart's own festive playlist argues that skipping PCA during sale events leaves around 20% of visibility to competitors, which is a claim about share of attention rather than about ROI.
The honest way to judge brand spend is therefore not the ROI number alone. Attributed ROI on a CPM banner is loose, because view-based attribution credits sales to impressions the shopper may not have noticed. Look instead at whether PLA and organic sales on the featured products rose during the flight against a comparable period, and whether branded search terms in the search term report grew.
A working split for a seller adding PCA for the first time is to cap it at a fifth of total ad spend for a month, keep PLA budgets unchanged, and read the result on the category's PLA and organic sales rather than on the PCA line alone. Raise the share only if the category's total ad-driven sales rose by more than the PCA cost.
During Big Billion Days the split shifts because visibility is scarce: Blooprint's BBD guide covers sale-day budgets. Outside events, brand spend on a small catalogue is usually the first thing to cut when cash is tight, because PLA on hero FSNs pays back faster and is easier to prove.
Flipkart reports PCA and PLA in different views, so seeing the lift that a brand flight gave to listing sales means lining up two exports by date. BlooprintAI's Flipkart dashboard shows PCA metrics next to PLA and FSN-level sales on the same timeline, refreshed daily from Flipkart's Ads API. PCA campaigns are created in the Ads panel; BlooprintAI creates PLA campaigns in bulk and reports both.
The Flipkart and Shopsy workflow in BlooprintAI: bulk campaign creation, placement bids, keyword control and reports the seller dashboard does not give you.

Any seller can run PLA. PCA appears in the Ads panel only for accounts meeting Flipkart's criteria, with brand-registered and larger sellers seeing it first. Brand solutions are bought through Flipkart's sales team, usually by brands with event-level budgets.
No. PCA is billed per thousand impressions and brand solutions are sold as packages. Only PLA is billed per click. A CPM format spends whether or not shoppers click, so budget it separately.
Not from attributed ROI alone, which is loose on view-based formats. Compare PLA and organic sales on the featured products during the flight with a similar period before it, and watch for growth in branded search terms.
Flipkart Ads' festive playlist says skipping PCA leaves about 20% of visibility to competitors on sale days. If you have a brand and several FSNs in a category, budget it separately from PLA; if you sell one listing, PLA first.
