An Amazon placement bid adjustment raises your bid by a percentage for top of search, rest of search or product pages. The effective bid is base bid × (1 + adjustment ÷ 100). Enter your base bid and the percentage to see the most Amazon can charge for that placement, and how dynamic bids (up and down) can raise it further.
Enter the keyword or target bid, and the adjustment set for the placement in the campaign's settings.
Worked example: a ₹10 bid with a 50% top-of-search adjustment becomes ₹15 on top of search. With the dynamic bids (up and down) strategy, Amazon can raise it by up to a further 100% there, to ₹30, when it predicts a sale. On rest of search and product pages, with no adjustment, the same bid can go up to ₹15 under dynamic bidding (+50%).
These are ceilings, not what you pay. The auction charges roughly what is needed to beat the next bidder, so actual CPC is usually below the ceiling, but a CPC well above your base bid is the adjustment doing its job.
| Placement report shows | Action |
|---|---|
| Top of search ACoS well under target, other placements over | Raise top-of-search adjustment; consider lowering base bid |
| Top of search ACoS over target at a high CPC | Lower the adjustment before touching the base bid |
| Product pages convert well at low CPC | Add a product-page adjustment instead of raising base bid |
| All placements similar | Leave adjustments at zero; manage the base bid |
Amazon's placement report gives impressions, clicks, spend and sales by placement for each campaign. Judge each placement by its ACoS, not by CTR.
If top of search converts and other placements do not, a ₹10 base bid with 0% adjustment pays too much on product pages. A ₹7 base bid with a 60% top-of-search adjustment keeps about ₹11.20 on top of search and cuts the bid elsewhere by 30%. The combination is more precise than either lever alone.
BlooprintAI fetches the current placement adjustments for every campaign, shows placement-level ACoS and CPC beside them, and updates them across campaigns in one run with a summary and a log. It works the same for Flipkart's six placement bids. Nothing is adjusted automatically.

Learn more →You set a percentage increase for top of search, rest of search or product pages. The bid for that placement becomes base bid × (1 + percentage ÷ 100). A ₹10 bid with 50% becomes ₹15.
Amazon allows adjustments up to 900% per placement. Adjustments that high are rarely sensible; most accounts work between 0% and 100%.
Dynamic bids (up and down) can raise the adjusted bid by up to 100% on top of search and 50% on other placements when Amazon predicts a sale, so the ceilings stack.
Because the adjustment and dynamic bidding multiply your base bid there. Check the placement report; if top-of-search ACoS is over target, lower the adjustment first.
