How much do Flipkart ads cost in India? CPC by category, billing and GST (2026)

Flipkart ads cost what the auction sets: PLA clicks of ₹3 to ₹30 by category, as agency tables report, and PCA impressions at a CPM you bid. There is no fixed rate card. Spend carries 18% GST, is billed from a prepaid wallet or Advertise Now Pay Later credit, and invoices sit in Seller Hub. This guide gives the numbers with their sources and a cost-per-order example.

There is no rate card, and why

'Flipkart ads rate card' is a common search, and the honest answer is that there is no such document for self-serve ads. PLA clicks are priced by an auction between sellers bidding on the same searches and placements, so the cost is set by your competitors and by your listing's expected conversion, not by a table. Brand and display packages sold by Flipkart's team do have rate cards, in lakhs, and those are quoted on request.

What exists instead are agency tables built from client accounts. They are useful as a starting range and no more. Blooprint's Flipkart ads guide has a budget section; this page collects the cost numbers in one place.

CPC by category, as reported

The most-cited table is gonukkad's, which also suggests a daily budget per category. Treat every figure as one agency's observation in one period.

CategoryReported CPCSuggested daily budget (gonukkad)
Mobiles and electronics₹15 to ₹30₹2,500
Beauty₹10 to ₹18₹1,200
Footwear₹8 to ₹14₹1,000
Home decor₹7 to ₹12₹800
Fashion₹5 to ₹10₹1,000
Grocery₹3 to ₹6₹500

A second widely quoted range is ₹7 to ₹20 per click across categories, from gonukkad and olbuz. During Big Billion Days, agency playbooks report CPCs at two to three times these levels.

Your own number is in the campaign report after a week. It will differ from the table, because your bid, placement multipliers and listing quality decide what you actually pay, and the actual CPC is usually below the bid.

Cost per order: the number that matters

CPC alone does not tell you whether ads are affordable. Cost per order does, and it depends on conversion rate.

ResultSmall profit per ad orderLoss on every ad order

The electronics seller has a lower CPC relative to price but a thinner margin, and loses money on every attributed order. That is the pattern behind most 'Flipkart ads are expensive' complaints: the click is not expensive, the margin is thin. The fixes are conversion rate (listing, price, reviews) and bid, in that order.

How billing works

  1. Funding

Add money to the ads wallet, or use Advertise Now Pay Later credit if enabled; ANPL spend is deducted from the next payout, with no interest according to launch coverage.

  2. Deduction

Each click on a PLA ad, or each thousand impressions on PCA, is deducted from the wallet or credit. Part of the balance is held as blocked balance against running campaigns' remaining budgets.

  3. GST

18% GST applies on ad spend. The tax invoice is generated monthly and is available in Seller Hub under payments; input tax credit can be claimed against your GST liability.

  4. Refunds

Unused wallet balance stays in the wallet. Promotional credits, where Flipkart has given them, usually expire and are not refundable.

Other costs people forget

  • Returns: an attributed order that comes back still cost the click. Fashion return rates of 20 to 30% mean the real cost per kept order is a quarter higher.
  • Commission and fees: ROI in the panel is revenue over spend before Flipkart's own charges. Break-even must use margin after commission, fixed fee, shipping and payment fee.
  • Time: a weekly review of search terms, FSNs and placements across many campaigns is hours of work, which is either your time, an agency retainer, or software.
  • Software: BlooprintAI's Flipkart + Shopsy advertising plan is ₹12,999 per month plus GST, with a 7-day free trial and no card required; 6-month and 12-month plans are 10% and 20% cheaper.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a Flipkart ad click cost?

It is set by auction. Agency tables (gonukkad) report ₹3 to ₹6 in grocery, ₹5 to ₹10 in fashion, ₹8 to ₹14 in footwear, ₹10 to ₹18 in beauty and ₹15 to ₹30 in electronics. Your campaign report shows your real number after a week.

Is there a Flipkart ads rate card?

Not for self-serve PLA and PCA; both are auction priced. Brand and display packages sold by Flipkart's team are quoted on request, typically in lakhs.

Is GST charged on Flipkart ads?

Yes, 18% on ad spend. The monthly invoice is in Seller Hub under payments and the GST can be claimed as input tax credit.

Why are my Flipkart ads expensive even though the CPC is low?

Usually because the margin is thin or the conversion rate is low, so many clicks go into each order. Compare ROI with break-even ROI (one divided by margin before ads); fix conversion before touching bids.

Do I pay for Flipkart ads before or after they run?

Before, from a prepaid wallet, unless Advertise Now Pay Later is enabled, in which case the spend is deducted from your next payout.

How much do Flipkart ads cost per month?

One campaign at ₹500 a day is ₹15,000 a month plus GST. Most small sellers with three to five campaigns spend ₹45,000 to ₹1,50,000 a month. The right number comes from your margin and conversion rate, not from a typical figure.
