Flipkart lets you set a PLA campaign daily budget from a few hundred rupees, but the practical floor for learning anything is ₹500 to ₹1,000 a day per campaign, according to Blooprint's own guide and agency posts. The right monthly number comes from margin, conversion rate and how many FSNs you are advertising, not from a rule of thumb. This guide gives the maths and a phase-by-phase plan.
The panel will accept a very small daily budget. Blooprint's Flipkart ads guide quotes ₹300 as the floor; robnu mentions campaigns from ₹100 a day. Neither number tells you anything, because a budget that buys 15 clicks a day produces one order every few days and a search term report you cannot read. Agency posts (gonukkad and others) put the learning floor at ₹500 to ₹1,000 a day per campaign, and that matches what our account managers see.
The question to ask instead is: how many clicks do I need per week to make a decision, and what does a click cost in my category?
Daily budget per campaign = clicks needed per day x expected CPC. Clicks needed per day comes from how many orders you need to judge a keyword, divided by conversion rate.
| Input | Example | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Orders needed per week to judge | 10 | Fewer and ROI swings with every order |
| Conversion rate | 4% | Your listing's history; 2 to 5% is common |
| Clicks needed per week | 250 | 10 / 4% |
| Clicks per day | 36 | 250 / 7 |
| Expected CPC | ₹8 | Category tables reported by gonukkad; your own report once you have one |
| Daily budget | ₹290, round to ₹500 | 36 x ₹8, with headroom |
| Monthly per campaign | ₹15,000 plus 18% GST | ₹500 x 30 |
Multiply by the number of campaigns you actually need, not the number of FSNs: a campaign can carry several FSNs. A seller with 15 FSNs might run three campaigns (hero, mid, new) at ₹500 to ₹1,500 a day each, so ₹45,000 to ₹1,05,000 a month before GST.
Then check affordability the other way. At a 25% margin, break-even ROI is 4; if a ₹60,000 monthly spend returns ₹2,40,000 of attributed sales you are at break-even on ad-driven orders and relying on organic lift for profit. That is normal for a growth phase and not sustainable forever.
₹500 to ₹1,000 a day per campaign, CPC mode, automatic targeting. The goal is data, not profit. Expect ROI of 2 to 3 on a new account, which agency posts (globalwebsters, adtorise) describe as typical for the first 30 to 45 days.
Move converting terms to keyword campaigns, add negatives, and let budget follow ROI: campaigns above break-even that hit their cap by afternoon get 20 to 30% more; campaigns below it get bid cuts, not budget cuts.
Set a monthly ad spend as a share of ad-driven sales you can live with, commonly 8 to 15% for a mature account, and use Flipkart's Saral setting or Budget Rule if you prefer the platform to hold that ratio.
3 to 4x normal daily spend for the sale window, with CPCs expected at 2 to 3x. Fund it before the event; see the Big Billion Days guide.
Flipkart Ads has added three budget controls. Saral lets you set ad spend as a percentage of sales and leaves the daily number to the platform; its launch video has over 60,000 views. Budget Rule and the Smart Rule Manager let you add rules that raise or cut budgets on conditions. They are useful for holding a ratio on a stable account. They do not replace the weekly review of which FSNs and terms deserve the money, which is where budget is actually won or lost.
BlooprintAI's budget monitor lists every Flipkart campaign with daily budget, spend pace and ROI, and budget changes across campaigns are applied in one bulk action with a summary first and a log after. Blooprint's guide on how much to spend on marketplace ads in the beginning covers the cross-platform version of this question.

Learn more →The panel accepts a few hundred rupees per campaign; Blooprint's guide quotes ₹300. The practical floor for learning is ₹500 to ₹1,000 a day per campaign, because you need roughly 250 clicks a week to judge a keyword.
Three campaigns at ₹500 to ₹1,500 a day come to ₹45,000 to ₹1,35,000 a month before 18% GST. A single-campaign seller at ₹500 a day spends ₹15,000 plus GST.
Per campaign. Group FSNs by role (hero, mid, new) so each campaign gets enough clicks to learn, then use the FSN report to see which products inside it deserve the spend.
For a mature account, 8 to 15% of ad-driven sales is a common range. That is an ROI of roughly 7 to 12. New accounts sit at ROI 2 to 3 for the first month or two, which agency posts describe as typical.
A setting that lets you define ad spend as a percentage of sales and let Flipkart manage the daily budget to hold that ratio. It suits stable accounts; it does not decide which FSNs or keywords deserve the money.
Three to four times normal daily spend during the sale window, because CPCs rise two to three times. Fund it in advance and check spend three times a day.
