Amazon Ads API access is granted to an application, not to a seller account. You register as an advertiser, agency or tool provider, create a Login with Amazon client, get approval, and then each advertiser authorises your application for their profile. The same API covers Amazon India and every other Amazon Ads marketplace. Most sellers do not need their own access; they need a tool that has it.
'Amazon ads api india' autocompletes on Google India alongside 'amazon ads api access', 'registration', 'docs', 'postman collection' and 'reports api', according to our keyword research. The askers are mostly developers at brands and agencies who want to automate reports or build internal tools. The short answer is that India has no separate API; Indian marketplace profiles are reached through the same Amazon Ads API, using the regional endpoint Amazon's documentation assigns to the marketplace.
In the Amazon developer console, create a security profile. It gives you a client ID and client secret. This is your application's identity.
Amazon's Ads API onboarding page has the application. You describe who you are (advertiser, agency, tool provider), what you will build and which ad products you need. Approval is by Amazon and is not instant.
Once approved, the security profile is granted the advertising scope, which lets it request advertiser consent.
Each advertiser signs in through the Login with Amazon consent screen and authorises your application. You receive an authorisation code and exchange it for a refresh token.
Call the profiles endpoint to list the advertiser's profiles, one per marketplace, and pass the Amazon India profile ID in the header of every call.
Rate limits apply per endpoint and per profile, and bulk changes need batching and retries. Reports are asynchronous and can take minutes to hours at busy times. API versions are deprecated on a schedule, so code written against an old version stops working. Tokens expire and consent can be revoked. None of this is hard for an engineer, but it is ongoing work rather than a one-off build.
There is also the question of what you build on top. The API gives raw data and raw writes; a useful tool needs views, filters, validation and a record of what changed. Our MCP guide covers one lightweight route: letting an AI assistant call the API. It is good for questions and weak for bulk changes that need approval.
You need it if you are an agency or tool builder, or a brand with developers and a data warehouse that wants Amazon ads data joined to other sources. You do not need it to use a tool that already has access. BlooprintAI is built on the Amazon Ads API and connects through Amazon's own Login with Amazon consent screen: you click authorise, choose the profiles, and it pulls campaigns and reports for you. Changes are applied through the same API after you review a summary, and every change is logged. It does not bid automatically.

Amazon does not charge for API access. The costs are engineering time to build and maintain the integration and hosting for it.
Not directly. The API needs code to authenticate, request reports and make changes. Sellers without developers use a tool that already has API access and connects through Amazon's consent screen.
No. The Selling Partner API covers orders, listings, inventory and fees. The Amazon Ads API covers advertising. They have separate registrations and separate tokens.
Yes. BlooprintAI connects through Login with Amazon, the official consent flow, and reads and writes campaigns through the Amazon Ads API. You never share your password.
