ASIN targeting is an Amazon advertising option, under manual product targeting, where you choose specific products by their ASIN and your ad is shown on those products' detail pages and next to them in search results. It is the way sellers place an ad on a competitor's listing, or on their own listings to keep competitors off them.
In a manual Sponsored Products campaign you pick product targeting instead of keyword targeting, then add individual ASINs. Amazon shows suggestions from products similar to yours, or you paste a list. Each ASIN gets its own bid. When a shopper opens one of those detail pages, or searches and sees one of those products, your ad is eligible for the sponsored slots there. You pay per click as with keywords.
Worked example: a seller of a ₹1,299 mixer grinder targets 50 competitor ASINs priced between ₹1,500 and ₹2,500 at a ₹6 bid. In two weeks the campaign takes 400 clicks for ₹2,400 and 28 orders, a 7% conversion rate and ₹36,372 of sales, an ACoS of 6.6%. Clicks on competitor pages are cheaper than search clicks because fewer advertisers bid on them, and shoppers already comparing convert well when your price is lower.
The Sponsored Products search term report lists each targeted ASIN as the search term, so you can cut the ASINs that spend without orders and add them as negative product targets.
Flipkart PLA campaigns offer keyword targeting and automatic targeting; there is no option to name a competitor's FSN. Automatic PLA campaigns do place ads on product pages, but Flipkart chooses which. noon's Sponsored Products support product targeting of individual listings, in AED, in the same way as Amazon. Myntra has added product targeting to PLA according to seller reports.
Blooprint's guide to Amazon ads on blooprint.in covers campaign setup; this page is about the targeting choice.

Create a manual Sponsored Products campaign, choose product targeting, select individual products, and paste the competitor ASINs with a bid each. Pick competitors with a higher price or weaker reviews than your listing.
Often, because fewer advertisers bid on a given detail page than on a popular keyword. Bids of roughly half your keyword bids are a common starting point; let the search term report set the final figure.
No. Flipkart PLA offers keyword and automatic targeting only. Automatic campaigns do appear on product pages, but you cannot choose which FSNs.
In the Sponsored Products search term report and targeting report, each ASIN appears as its own row with impressions, clicks, spend and orders, so you can adjust or negate it.
