Meesho ads free credit: what it is and how to use it well (2026)

Meesho ads free credit is promotional balance added to a supplier's ads wallet, most often ₹2,500 by seller accounts, to get a first campaign running. It is spent per click like any other ad money and expires if unused. The best use is a short, capped test on one or two catalogues that already sell, so the credit buys data as well as orders.

What the credit is and is not

Meesho runs promotions that add a fixed amount of ads credit to a supplier's wallet, typically when the account first becomes eligible for ads or during a seller campaign. Tutorials and seller forums usually quote ₹2,500; Meesho itself documents the offer only inside the Supplier Panel, so the amount, the eligibility rule and the expiry date are whatever your wallet screen says. Treat the ₹2,500 figure as reported, not fixed.

The credit is not a discount on clicks and it is not withdrawable. It is spent first, before any money you add, at the normal per-click price, and it expires. Suppliers who leave it sitting because they are not sure ads are worth it get nothing; suppliers who spread it across twenty catalogues get twenty campaigns with five clicks each and learn nothing.

How to check whether you have it

  1. Open Advertisements in the Supplier Panel

If the tab is missing, the account is not yet eligible for ads at all; see the 'ads option not showing' guide on this site.

  2. Look at the wallet balance and its breakdown

Promotional credit is shown separately from added balance, with an expiry date where one applies.

  3. Note the expiry before planning

A credit expiring in ten days needs a ₹250-a-day plan; one with a month to run can go at ₹100 a day on a broader test.

A plan for spending ₹2,500

The credit is just enough to answer one question properly: does this catalogue convert paid traffic at a cost per order you can afford? Use it that way.

What to recordCPC, clicks, orders, cost per order, returns a month laterThis is the data the credit buys

Break-even ROI is one divided by margin before ads. At a 20% margin it is 5, so a target of 6 leaves a point of profit. The ROI Plus guide on this site walks through the target; the CPO glossary entry covers the cost-per-order side.

Mistakes that waste the credit

  • Running it on a brand-new catalogue with no orders, so a poor result cannot be separated from a poor listing.
  • Setting a very high ROI target so that Meesho barely spends and the credit expires half used.
  • Setting no target at all and letting the credit go in two days on broad placements.
  • Judging the campaign on dashboard ROI without waiting for returns, which on Meesho arrive for weeks.
  • Topping up the wallet on autopilot when the credit runs out, before the cost-per-order maths has been done.

After the credit

If the test cleared your cost-per-order ceiling after returns, add ₹3,000 for a second month at the same settings and widen to a second catalogue. If it did not, the credit did its job cheaply: it told you the listing or the price needs work before more money goes in.

BlooprintAI does not manage Meesho ads yet; Meesho is marked coming soon. The Flipkart and Amazon products are live, and the same rule applies there: a launch credit is a test budget, not free money.

Frequently asked questions

How much free ad credit does Meesho give?

Seller tutorials commonly quote ₹2,500 for new advertisers. Meesho does not publish the amount or the eligibility rule; the credit and its expiry are shown in the ads wallet inside the Supplier Panel.

How do I use free ad credit on Meesho?

Create a campaign as normal in Supplier Panel, Advertisements. Promotional balance is spent first, per click, before any money you add. Put it on one or two catalogues that already sell, with a daily cap sized to the expiry date.

Does the Meesho ad credit expire?

Yes, as sellers report, and the date is shown next to the balance. Plan the daily cap so the credit is used a few days before expiry.

Can I withdraw or transfer Meesho ad credit?

No. It can only be spent on Meesho ads from the account it was granted to.

Should I run the credit on a new catalogue to get first orders?

Only if you accept that the burst itself will not be profitable and that you learn little about conversion. A catalogue with organic history gives a cleaner reading of what paid traffic costs per order.
