Flipkart Ads Academy: the free course and certification, and what it does not teach (2026)

Flipkart Ads Academy is Flipkart's own free online course and certification for sellers, agency staff and freelancers who run ads on the platform. It teaches the platform's vocabulary and the console: PLA and PCA, Smart ROI and CPC campaigns, keyword targeting and reports. This page covers what the course contains, how the certification is earned, and the gaps a seller still has to fill with their own numbers.

What the Academy is

Flipkart Ads Academy is the learning site Flipkart runs for its advertising product. It is separate from Seller Hub and from the Ads panel: you sign in on the Academy site, work through the modules and sit a test for a certificate. Autocomplete shows the queries people actually type: academy login, free course, certification, and the combined 'amazon and flipkart ads course', which tells you most learners want a credential they can show.

The certificate is useful in two situations. If you run an agency or work as a freelancer, clients ask for it. If you are hiring someone to run your Flipkart ads, it is a reasonable filter for whether they know the console. It is not evidence that the holder can make ads profitable, any more than a driving licence proves someone can win a race.

What the modules cover

TopicWhat you learnWhat it leaves to you
Ad typesPLA versus PCA, where each shows, how each is billedWhich of the two your catalogue and margin can afford
Campaign creationSmart ROI versus CPC, budgets, start and end datesWhat target ROI to set, which comes from your margin
TargetingAutomatic versus keyword, exact and phrase, negativesWhich terms in your search term report are worth a keyword
ReportsThe reports that exist and their columnsWhat to change when a number is bad
BillingWallet, ads credit, invoicesReconciling spend to invoices and payouts

The pattern in the right-hand column is the same throughout. The Academy teaches the platform from Flipkart's side; it cannot teach your break-even ROI, your conversion rate by FSN or how to review forty campaigns in an hour, because those depend on your account.

Getting through it quickly

  1. Do the ad types and campaign creation modules first

They are the vocabulary for everything else. If you already run PLA, skim them; the definitions match Blooprint's PLA and PCA guides.

  2. Watch the targeting module with your search term report open

The module explains exact, phrase and negative keywords. Apply each idea to a real term from your report as you go, or it will not stick.

  3. Sit the test the same week

The certification is a recall test on the modules. Delay and you will re-watch.

  4. Then work out your break-even ROI

The one number the course cannot give you. ROI to break even is one divided by your margin before ads; at a 25% margin it is 4. Every bid decision you make afterwards is measured against it.

Academy, YouTube tutorials or paid courses

The most-watched Flipkart ads content is not the Academy. Independent tutorials on Smart ROI and CPC campaigns run to 90,000 views and more, according to the YouTube counts in our keyword research, and there are paid 'Flipkart ads mastery' courses selling the same material with a personal angle. The Academy is the only source that is both free and official, so it is the place to learn what the buttons do; the tutorials add opinions on what to press, some of them good.

A fair rule: learn the console from the Academy, learn the strategy by running a small budget for a month and reading your own reports, and treat any paid course that promises a fixed ROI multiple with suspicion, because ROI depends on margin and category, not on the instructor.

What comes after the certificate

Certified or not, the work is the same every week: pull the search term and FSN reports, find the terms and products below break-even, cut those bids, and give the money to the ones above. On a small account that is an hour in the console. On an account with dozens of campaigns it is where software earns its place: BlooprintAI filters every Flipkart keyword and FSN by ROI, CPC and spend and applies bid and budget changes in bulk, showing a summary before anything is changed. Blooprint's Flipkart ads guide is the written companion to the Academy's modules.

Frequently asked questions

Is Flipkart Ads Academy free?

Yes. The Academy site describes the course and certification as free. You sign in on the Academy site, which is separate from Seller Hub, complete the modules and sit a test.

What does the Flipkart Ads certification cover?

Ad types (PLA and PCA), Smart ROI and CPC campaign creation, automatic and keyword targeting with exact, phrase and negative keywords, the reports in the Ads panel, and billing. It is a recall test on those modules.

Does the certificate help me get clients or a job?

It is a reasonable signal that someone knows the Flipkart Ads console, and agencies and freelancers are asked for it. It does not show whether the holder can make ads profitable, which depends on reading a specific account's numbers.

Is there a combined Amazon and Flipkart ads course?

Not from either platform. Amazon has its own learning console and Flipkart has the Academy. Sellers on both should do each platform's course and use one set of metrics; Blooprint's metric conversion table maps ACoS to Flipkart ROI.

What should I learn that the Academy does not teach?

Your break-even ROI (one divided by margin before ads), your conversion rate per FSN, and a weekly routine for reading the search term and FSN reports. Those decide profit; the Academy only covers the console.
