Amazon UAE ads: running PPC on Amazon.ae

Amazon UAE ads work the same way as Amazon India ads: Sponsored Products, Brands and Display, bought by auction in the Amazon Ads console. What changes is the currency (AED), the tax (UAE VAT at 5%, not GST), the language mix (English and Arabic searches) and a smaller, more concentrated market. This guide covers the setup and the first month for a seller already selling on Amazon.ae.

What is different from Amazon India

The console, the ad types and the auction are identical. If you run ads on Amazon.in you can run them on Amazon.ae with the same knowledge. The differences are practical. Budgets and bids are in AED. Ad invoices carry UAE VAT at 5% where it applies, not 18% GST, and the Indian seller ads wallet does not exist; billing is set in the Amazon Ads billing settings. Search volume is far smaller, so a campaign structure that works on Amazon.in may be too fragmented for the UAE.

Blooprint's guide to selling on Amazon.ae covers account setup and FBA; the noon versus Amazon.ae comparison covers where to sell. This page starts once you have live listings and want to advertise.

The first campaigns

  1. Switch to the Amazon.ae profile

In the Amazon Ads console, pick the United Arab Emirates marketplace from the account switcher. If you only see India, the UAE seller account has not been linked to advertising yet; open Advertising from the Amazon.ae Seller Central.

  2. Set billing

Add a payment method in the Amazon Ads billing settings for the UAE profile. Check how VAT will appear on invoices, especially if you are VAT-registered in the UAE.

  3. Create one auto campaign per hero product

Sponsored Products, automatic targeting, AED 50 to 100 a day per product, the level agencies in our research recommend to start. Dynamic bids, down only.

  4. Add a manual campaign with English and Arabic keywords

Include the Arabic product noun and common transliterations, not just English. Shoppers on Amazon.ae search in both.

  5. Wait seven days

The attribution window for sellers is seven days, so the first week's ACoS will fall as sales arrive.

Arabic keywords

Arabic searches are where many UAE sellers leave money on the table. The research behind this page records an agency claim that most shoppers in Saudi Arabia prefer Arabic; the UAE has a larger English-speaking population but Arabic searches remain significant in many categories. The simple test: run an auto campaign for two weeks and look at the search term report. If Arabic terms appear with orders, build an Arabic exact-match campaign.

The listing matters too. An ad on an Arabic search that lands on an English-only listing converts poorly. Blooprint's Arabic listings guide, written for noon, applies equally to Amazon.ae.

Common problems on Amazon.ae

  • Clicks but no sales: a YouTube video from Amazon Sellers Society Middle East on this exact problem for UAE and KSA has over 1,100 views. The usual causes are price against noon, few reviews, and long delivery promises on merchant-fulfilled listings.
  • No impressions: Buy Box and FBA stock, same as India. New UAE accounts sometimes need their first sales before ads serve well.
  • Budgets too thin across too many products: with smaller search volumes, focus on fewer products per campaign.
  • Copying Indian bids: CPCs in AED do not translate from rupees. Start with Amazon's suggested bid and adjust after a week.

Running India and UAE together

Many sellers reading this already run Amazon India. The friction is switching profiles, two currencies, two tax treatments and two sets of reports. BlooprintAI covers Amazon India and UAE advertising in one plan at ₹14,999 a month plus GST: one dashboard with both profiles, bulk campaign creation from CSV for each, and bulk bid and budget changes after a review step. It does not bid automatically; it saves the switching.
